How To Save a File
In order to evaluate and assess your work, it is very important that students save their work in the proper location and the proper labeling. Here is a quick rundown of how and where to save your files you do in Photoshop.
1. You will open and work on your project and follow the directions for that assignment. When you are ready to save the document, you must do a SAVE AS. Doing a Save As allows the student to make a copy of the file and rename and save it where they want to.
Look at the example here:
2. You will rename your file always, FIRST INITIAL, LAST NAME – Project Title (MrLopez – Shapes). I will always tell you the name of the project before hand and it will also be written on the board.
Always make sure the file has your name on it.
3. You will push the little blue arrow down to expand the window to show the sidebar on the left hand side. Scroll down to find your Home folder (should say something like; cte009). Locate the Documents folder inside your Home folder and select it. This is the location where all your files will be saved.
4. Once your document is saved, you can close the document and exit Photoshop.
