Dear Parents
Dear Parents:
My goal is to assure the success of all students in my classes. Working together we can get the job done. I will be communicating with you throughout the term concerning the progress of your student. Please feel free to contact me if you have a question or concern.
The activities and instruction in the class have been integrated to support the California State Standards and the Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs). Projects, homework, and classwork have been designed to incorporate new technologies and applications being used by professionals everywhere. This is not a games, email, media-player, or web-surfing class! Computers are to be used for educational purposes only. Internet use is a privilege, and students are expected to use appropriate language while using computers and the Internet. Using the Internet inappropriately can and will result in the removal from the class completely and loss of credits.
One of your student’s first homework assignments is to review the attached information with you, sign the appropriate space, have you sign the appropriate space and then return the signed portion to me. Please keep the attached portion for your reference throughout the term. Your student and I will thoroughly review the information within the next week. Therefore, if you have questions about any of the information, your student may ask it during our discussion.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and I sincerely look forward to working with you and your student.
Students will required to from time to time to work from home using the Internet. If you do not have Internet access at home, the library is also available. If this is not available, please call me ahead of time so we can schedule an alternative solution.
Dear Student:
Welcome to Contemporary Media Production! This will be an exciting and challenging year as we work together toward academic excellence. I am looking forward to working with you and getting to know each of you during the course of our study. You will have many opportunities to experience activities designed to help you enjoy learning. It is my hope that you will take advantage of them all.
In order to get off to a good start and maintain a good working relationship, you have been given a copy of the class “Syllabus”. These rules will guide you until we review the classroom policies and procedures.
